News: Pope Francis Completes One Month Hospitalized for Pneumonia

Mayrin Gutierrez Romero

Pope Francis has completed one month of hospitalization at the Gemelli Hospital in Rome as of March 14, where he was admitted on February 18 after being diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia. At 88 years old, the pontiff has shown a stable clinical picture, although his recovery has been slow and requires time.

Since his admission, doctors have been monitoring his health status and have decided not to issue additional medical reports, as there have been no significant changes. During this time, the Pope has continued to receive spiritual support and messages of encouragement from faithful around the world.

Despite his situation, Francis has commemorated his 12th anniversary as pope from his hospital bed, receiving increasingly positive news about his recovery process. The Catholic community continues to pray for his swift improvement and return to his activities.
