The new law focuses on a social approach to the use of the radio spectrum, guarantees internet access for those living in marginalized areas, and strengthens Indigenous and Afro-Mexican community media, for which new funding mechanisms will be available. The ruling on President Claudia Sheinbaum's initiative was practically restructured with substantive changes made based on proposals from concessionaires and experts.
